Motorpoint targets social media with new appointment

Motorpoint has appointed a social media specialist to act as the 'company's voice online'.

He is 24 year-old former Keele University graduate Ian Stanley.

A former blogger, Stanley will help to grow Motorpoint’s social media presence through Facebook and Twitter, using new initiatives such as TwitPix Thursday, to increase the firm’s following.

He will also oversee the roll-out of Inside Motorpoint, a new website that will incorporate all of the latest news, views, photos and videos relating to the company’s various sponsorship initiatives such as its British Superbikes and Pro-Cycling teams as well the recently launched Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield.
