A long-standing relationship between dealer and manufacturer has been recognised at the annual Honda dealer conference in the UK.

Senior staff from the Guernsey's Doyle Motors received the surprise accolade in front of
their UK colleagues at a gala dinner.

The award, in the form of a commemorative trophy, recognised Doyle Motors’ involvement with Honda, which has lasted for 41 years without a break, but also
the dealership’s contribution in making the brand a success in the UK.

David Coomber, dealer principal of Doyle Motors, said the team was thrilled to receive the award.

Janice Kennedy, head of sales for Honda in the UK, said the award was a tribute to the passion,
enthusiasm and hard work of every employee.

"In these days of instant everything, customers have almost unlimited choice about where they buy their cars.

"Doyle Motors has been a successful business for so long because the people behind it have created a loyal customer base of drivers who return time and again.

"They do that because they appreciate the personal service they receive at the dealership," she said.
