Tom Lander, operations director of the Yeomans Group, has been elected as the new chairman of Citroën’s national dealer council.

Lander has been appointed chairman after seven years of service as vice-chairman and he takes over from Sportif Citroen managing director John Miskin.

Lander will be responsible for all matters involving the Citroen UK dealer network, including new model launches and improving customer service and satisfaction levels.

He said: “I’m looking forward to the challenges ahead as we complete the roll-out of the new Citroën corporate identity across the network and the arrival of new, exciting and innovative models that will increase sales and further improve dealer profitability.

“The Citroën brand is changing and I am looking forward to working with Citroën to ensure our network is strong and healthy, with a reputation for delivering high levels of customer satisfaction and service.”

Linda Jackson, Citroën UK’s managing director, thanked outgoing chairman Miskin; "We are extremely indebted to John for his tireless and unstinting work in representing the dealer network during some of the most challenging and demanding periods in the automotive industry.

“The fact the network is now looking forward to a successful and rewarding future with Citroën is, in no small measure, due to John's skill and hard work.

“We are very fortunate to have someone as well respected as Tom Lander to work with as we create the next chapter in our exciting history.”
