Aston Barclay has signed a two-year agreement to increase the number of cars it will sell on behalf of Masterlease UK and the Leasedrive Velo Group to more than 3,000 annually.

Under the agreement, Aston Barclay will increase the number of its Masterlease and Leasedrive Velo sales at its Westbury site from once a fortnight to every Tuesday and introduce a bi-weekly Masterlease and Leasedrive Velo sale at Prees Heath.

In the future cars could well be sold through its site in Chelmsford, which has recently had more than £1 million transforming the former cattle market into what the company says will be one of the UK’s best car auction centres capable of selling up to 35,000 cars and vans a year.

Aston Barclay has sold cars for Masterlease and Leasedrive Velo since 2006.

Tim Hudson, Aston Barclay’s managing director, said: “Securing the new contract is a direct result of our ongoing investment programme, especially in our advanced technology infrastructure and customer service.”

Aston Barclay also recently won a contract to sell cars for WR Davies Group.
