Volkswagen Group UK’s paint and body business manager, Andy Lawlor, has left the role after six years, to take up an overseas assignment.
He is succeeded by Michael Embleton, who takes over following a secondment as the learning and development manager for commercial training in Volkswagen Group.
Embleton has worked in the Volkswagen Group for 16 years, initially for the Audi brand in sales and product marketing and more recently in the group aftersales division (Group Services) in planning and training.
He brings with him 25 years of experience in all sectors of the automotive industry.
He said: "I am really looking forward to joining the paint and body team. Under Andy’s leadership this area of our business has seen considerable success. The new vehicle insurance ratings have received numerous industry awards and our approved paint and body centre network is delivering excellent customer satisfaction."
As editor, Tim is responsible for the media content, planning and production of AM's multiple channels (AM print and digital magazines, website, social media and contributing to our events planning). He interviews and writes about as many franchised dealer groups and UK divisions of motor manufacturers as possible, to explore the issues facing UK motor retail and understand what solutions dealers and suppliers are using to overcome these.
