IT solutions company Epyx has reported a 17% increase in the use of its 1link Service Network e-commerce platform over the last 12 months.

In addition to being used by dealers and garages for the processing of service and maintenance work, it is now being adopted by warranty and service plan providers as a means of authorising and auditing work.

David Wallace, sales and business development director at Epyx, said: “Service plans are clearly growing in popularity and any company that sells a service plan needs a way of managing the processes.

“Usage of the platform for this purpose has grown rapidly in the last 12 months and we expect to see a further increase into 2013.”
