Steve Nash has joined the AM Awards' judging panel.

He takes the place of Sarah Sillars.

Nash is a non-executive director of the Institute of the Motor Industry and in January will become its chief executive.

Nash was also awarded AM’s 2012 Personality of the Year in recognition of his role in the industry to develop professional standards.

He has led the IMI through periods of change and was been instrumental in its relicensing the IMI’s Sector Skills Council (SSC) for the automotive retail sector in 2009.

Nash takes the place of Sarah Sillars on the judging panel. She is leaving the IMI as executive chair in the new year.

Chair of the judges is Christopher Macgowan and the judges are consultant and analyst Piers Trenear-Thomas, ICDP managing director Steve Young and international business adviser Martin Taylor.

Overseeing their deliberations is AM editor Jeremy Bennett. Auditing a number of categories is MSX International.

The AM Awards are on February 20 at the ICC, Birmingham.
