Car dealer group Ford Retail has appointed Celia Pronto as board director for marketing and e-commerce.

Her responsibilities include e-commerce as well as all aspects of marketing including brand strategy, contact centre operations, customer relationship management, social media and on- and off-line advertising.

Pronto joins the AM100 dealer group with extensive multi-channel brand management and marketing experience, having previously held senior roles in high growth online businesses and multi-national organisations.

Ford Retail chief executive Stuart Kerr, said: "Celia’s experience and expertise in developing strategies for multi-channel businesses will be key in taking our e-commerce, marketing and brand development to the next level to enable us to continue improving on our competitive edge."

Ford Retail operates over 50 dealerships in the UK, selling more than 75,000 vehicles per annum, with turnover in excess of £1bn.
