Mercedes-Benz World is to be the venue of a prestigious charity ball which will bring dozens of prospective customers through its doors.

The huge dealership, at Brooklands in Surrey, is supporting the local Sam Beare Hospice by hosting its fund-raising ball on May 26th for the second consecutive year.

The hospice's patron is national PR guru Max Clifford, and appeals patrol is businessman Theo Pahitis of Dragons' Den fame.

Singer Becky Taylor, musician Rick Wakeman and comedian Graham Jolley will entertain guests.

Andrew Mallery, commercial operations director at Mercedes-Benz Cars, said: "We are proud to be supporting the Sam Beare Hospice Ball again this year. We want to raise as much money as possible for such a valuable charity in our community. By donating a first class event at Mercedes-Benz World, all the money raised from the ticket price of the Ball tickets will go straight to the hospice and help continue the great work they do for those that need it.

Last year the event raised more than £43,000 for the hospice.

Max Clifford said: "Everyone that came last year had a great evening. I want to thank Mercedes-Benz World for their generosity and great food. It’s a wonderful way to raise vital funds for a very worthy cause."

The hospice also has strong links with local dealership Trident Honda, which has donated a car annually since 2008 for the hospice to raffle.
