Warren Scott has resigned as non-executive chairman and director of Cambria Automobiles due to his other significant commitments.

The role at the top 20 AM100 car dealer group will be filled with immediate effect by retired banker Philip Swatman.

Swatman, a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, was a vice-chairman of investment banking at NM Rothschild from 2001 until his retirement in September 2008, having been with the bank since 1979, since when he was involved in numerous major transactions.

Cambria thanked Scott's valuable contribution to the development of the group since its admission to AIM in 2010.
