Mercedes-Benz UK has appointed specialist digital and social media agency, Holler, to improve how the brand engages with a younger customer base.

The appointment supports Mercedes’ intention to appeal to a younger audience and will focus on boosting Facebook likes, YouTube views and Twitter followers.

Mercedes said the social media specialists will also incorporate their activity within all future marketing campaigns. Holler will also be supporting customers’ direct feedback and questions “as quickly as possible”.

David George, Mercedes-Benz UK marketing director, said: “We are keen to expand our online community and engage followers with exciting and exclusive content. We look forward to working with Holler to bring the brand to life with our new cars for our new target audience and to develop creative and innovative opportunities for all Mercedes-Benz UK followers.”

Mercedes-Benz UK currently has an online community of almost 150,000 engaged users, consisting of multiple twitter accounts (@smartfortwoUK @MercedesBenzUK, @MercedesBenzSLS and @MercedesLFW) that currently have over 80,000 followers.

There are also three Facebook pages with a total of 70,000 likes, three YouTube channels have also accrued over 1.1 million views and three active blogs which currently attract 2,000 visitors per month.
