On Friday 18th May 2012 PJM Valeting, the commercial car valeting company, hosted a charity golf day at Stonebridge Golf Course in Birmingham to raise money for BEN, the automotive industry charity.

The day of fundraising was held in memory of automotive industry veteran, Mark Allen, who worked in the industry for over 15 years and the occasion raised an amazing £2,000 for BEN.

The event was attended by companies and individuals from the automotive industry, including Hendy Group, Hertz, Leasedrive, Manheim, and PJM Valeting. All who took part in the day were competing to win the coveted title of nearest the pin and longest drive with PJM emerging as the winners and Hendy Group coming as runners up.

BEN and PJM Valeting would like to thank all teams and sponsors including: Aston Barclay, Bank of Scotland, DTE, East Anglian Motor Auctions, Farecla, G3 Remarketing, Hallmark Van & Truck, Hendy Group, Hertz, Leasedrive, Manheim, Trafalgar and Shoreham Vehicle Auctions.

Commenting on the event, Paul Moore, Managing Director of PJM Valeting said ”The event was one in which we could remember Mark, celebrate his life and help a good cause. We brought industry members together to raise as much as we could for our chosen charity, BEN, and we’d like to thank everyone who took part.”

BEN’s Events Manager, Kelly Neal, added “BEN would like to extent our thanks to PJM Valeting and everyone who attended the event. The day was a great opportunity for all to remember and honour Mark, a devoted member of the industry, and at the same time support BEN. The money raised will go to helping automotive people in times of need – Thank you.”
