Seat has unveiled its all-new Toledo, which is due on the UK market next year.

The new Toledo is based on the stretched VW Polo platform that also underpins the recently unveiled Skoda Rapid.

With a saloon-like profile but with a hatchback tailgate and large boot, this Toledo is expected to be more successful than the MPV-styled predecessor which was left the UK in 2009.

Power comes from the latest VW Group engines, including 1.2 and 1.4-litre TSI petrols producing between 74bhp and 120bhp, as well as a 1.6-litre TDI diesel with 104bhp.

Seat will launch the new Toledo in the UK in early 2013, to continue momentum built this year by its revised Ibiza supermini range and Mii city car.
