Jaguar is continuing with its marketing campaign for the new F-Type roadster with a marketing video with design boss Ian Callum describing the inspiration behind the new model.

The new model was on show under camouflage at the Goodwood Festival of Speed which featured a 375bhp supercharged 3.0-litre V6. There will also be a lower powered 335bhp 3.0-litre V6 and a 5.0-litre 500bhp supercharged V8 version.

A production version will go on sale in spring 2013 with the convertible arriving first and a coupe following in 2014.

Prices are expected to start at £55,000 which will price the new F-Type between an entry-level Cayman and 911.

Callum said: “We can afford to be as fearless as we want with this car. The F-Type is an expression of what Jaguar stands for.”

Callum believes the new F-Type will be “one of the most significant sports cars of the decade”.
