Vauxhall specialist Eden retails the majority of its used vehicles through Network Q but has boosted additional volumes using its own Select business.

Select enables the group to sell non-franchised vehicles, with around 30-40 vehicles available at its various locations at any one time, with similar assurances that come with manufacturer approved used programmes such as the usual checks and documentation as well as a vehicle multi-point check and a six-12-month guarantee depending on vehicle age.

Headed up by managing director Graeme Potts, who took control of four former Inchcape Vauxhall dealerships in 2008, the business has now grown to include Ford service and the Chevrolet franchise, as well as its Eden Select used car business.

Potts will provide an overview of used car retailing as he sees it based on Eden’s experiences to delegates at the AM Used Car Conference 2012 on October 9 at the National Motorcycle Museum in Solihull.

The event will be hosted by motoring commentator and former Top Gear presenter Quentin Willson.

Prior to launching Eden Vauxhall and Eden Chevrolet, Potts undertook a series of high profile positions with companies such as the RAC and Reg Vardy, as well as Inchcape.
