Peugeot says its new 208 XY model focuses on ‘luxury and themed colours’, including deep purple.

The Geneva 208 XY Concept car became a production reality earlier this year and the new XY is a further derivative ahead of the eagerly-awaited GTi.

Engine choices range from a 1.6-litre diesel e-HDi 92 FAP with a 5-speed manual gearbox and CO2 at 98g/km, to a 1.6-litre petrol THP 156, with a 6-speed manual gearbox and CO2 at 135g/km.

Described as ‘urban chic and exclusive’, the 208 XY is available in six colours, with an eye-catching light signature featuring LED technology.

The exterior boasts chromed details and touches of purple on the Peugeot logos. The 17" multi-spoke wheels house an alloy wheel cap with purple edging.

On the inside, the ‘sophisticated ambiance’ of the cabin can be personalised with a range of trims and standard kit includes a 7" touchscreen, a six-speaker sound system and foot mats overstitched in purple.
