Renault dealers will now be able to offer customers a diesel automatic in its Clio and Captur range.

The 1.5-litre engine is mated to a six-speed dual clutch and will do a manufacturer quoted 76mpg and has CO2 emissions of 95g/km.

The new transmission is only available on the Dynamique MediaNav and Dynamique MediaNav S trims on the Clio and Captur.

Prices start from £16,595 in the Clio, and from £17,395 in the Captur.

The French brand has also added a new on-board telemetry and performance tracking system, called Renaultsport Monitor 2.0, which is available as an option on the GT Line TCe 120 as well as the Renaultsport 200 EDC Turbo.

The Renaultsport Monitor is a competition-style telemetry system that displays and logs performance parameters like acceleration time, lap time etc, and costs £295.

Dealers will also be able to offer a rear parking camera option on the standard Clio range for £350 on all MediaNav-equipped Clios.
