Franchised dealers are steadily becoming more aware of the income potential of selling
The days of letting the customer escape after their car’s service to a fast-fit site across town should be long gone now that dealers focus on maximising the opportunities presented by every car coming into their workshop.
For the switched-on franchised dealer, selling tyres means more revenue and an additional profit stream.
Equally importantly, it can mean enhanced convenience and satisfaction for the customer.
Dealers know the customer can avoid having to spend time and effort heading elsewhere for their new tyres if the franchised workshop already servicing their car has suitable replacements in stock.
This award is open to any franchised workshop, whether part of a full franchised dealership or a standalone manufacturer authorised repairer.
Tyre manufacturer nominations will be accepted.
It will recognise the performance and strength of the operation in the replacement tyre market, showing that the business takes the tyre opportunity seriously across sales, marketing, customer satisfaction and training.
Entrants are eligible for sales of any brand or brands of tyre.

What the judges are looking for
Examples are needed of best practice and outstanding performance across your franchised workshop’s tyre operation in 2013.
The award is designed to recognise the best in offering a high quality consumer experience when purchasing tyres from a franchised dealer.
In store marketing and point of sale materials form part of the qualifying process but also the quality of the tyre buying experience for the consumer is key to this award.
In addition to strong sales, the entry needs to demonstrate high levels of customer satisfaction, evidence of marketing activity and the empowerment of staff to maximise the tyre sales opportunity.
