Skoda is urging customers to take advantage of a seven-point Winter Health Check for just £30 at any of its 134 UK retailers.
The checklist focuses on areas that can make a real difference during the colder months:
1) Lights
2) Wiper blades
3) Windscreen washer fluid
4) Brakes
5) Tyres
6) Battery
7) Air-conditioning
Any replacements will be genuine parts with a two-year warranty and dealers will also offer winter tyre packages at ‘very competitive prices’.
Skoda points out that, while it may sound unusual to worry about air conditioning in winter, efficient A/C can be ‘a great ally in the battle to keep windscreens and windows mist-free’.
Each Winter Health Check customer will receive a vehicle condition report as well as a Skoda-branded gift bag including de-icer, screen wash and ice scraper, worth £23.
Skoda UK enjoyed the most successful 10-months in its history between January and October 2013, with more than 55,200 new car registrations.

Skoda dealers (and any other service outlet) would do well to offer a FREE vehicle health check any time of the year. We started 2 years ago and have increased our profitability by 30% just based on the up-sell work and parts we're selling them. We now have one ramp which is booked all day everyday for vehicle health checks. 30% have red/dangerous items and 60% have Amber items. 10% of the checks we do are on vehicles and customers we've never seen before.
