AM has launched a search for dealerships or dealer groups with an aftersales story to tell.
Following last year’s extremely popular aftersales conference, AM is currently collating a host of expert speakers for the 2014 conference which takes place at the Heythrop Park Hotel, Oxfordshire, on April 8.
The conference will cover the range of aftersales issues from customer retention to lengthening times between services, the importance of MoT business for future growth and how the new car registration boom will impact service business in the franchised sector.
Feedback from AM conferences indicates that stories from dealer colleagues are highly received and as such, the magazine is looking for good dealer aftersales case studies which could be featured as part of the conference.
AM editor Jeremy Bennett said: “Our delegates are interested in the journey undertaken by their dealer colleagues.
"Neither our delegates nor we expect the case studies we use to be the epitome of how an aftersales department should run. Dealer delegates are more interested in a colleague’s experience - what has worked, what didn’t and the lessons a department or group has learned along the way.
"By providing dealers with such a platform, our aim is to offer recognition to those innovators who have tried something new or have turned a department around as well as provide delegates with insight and ideas.”
Perhaps you have taken the initiative and introduced a new aftersales service or scheme which has proved successful; maybe you have harnessed the power of social media which has led to an increase in labour hours; or have you implemented some very different processes which are netting startling results? Bennett said: “After all our years of working with dealers and telling their stories in the pages of the magazine and online, we know every dealership has a story to tell and we want you to tell it.”
