Toyota has unveiled its FT-86 Open concept ahead of the Geneva Motor Show next week.

The Japanese brand says it will test customer reaction at the event but it is rumoured to already have test models for production which look very similar to this concept.

The new drop-top model will come with the same 197bhp 2.0-litre engine that comes with the standard model and the electrically operated cloth roof will be “weight neutral”.

Toyota has not revealed if the new model will go into production at all, but it’s likely it will and models could be on sale before the end of this year if the FT-86 Open gets the official green light.
