Fix Auto UK’s presence inside the M25 has been strengthened with the signing of North-East London-based LRM Accident Repair Centre, which becomes Fix Auto Hainault with immediate effect.

The latest appointment – the network’s third new franchisee in the past month – takes the number of Fix Auto UK bodyshops in the London area to eight and 64 nationally, securing Fix Auto UK’s status as the country’s largest fully-branded body repair network.

Fix Auto Hainault’s appointment to the network comes shortly after a management buyout by new owners Sally Rector, Steve Harris and Glen Watts, who have jointly taken over the business from the retiring previous owner Roy Watts.

The BSI Kitemark-accredited 10,500 sq ft operation employs 24 people and has the capability to repair up to 150 cars and LCVs each month.

Established for over 22 years, it currently serves several insurers and accident managers who contribute to an annual turnover in excess of £1.5 million per annum.

“These really are exciting times for the business,” said Rector, “Joining Fix Auto UK is a strategic move and one we see as vital. It quite literally is a completely fresh start for the business.”

“Joining a network of body repairers was integral to our plans when we decided to buy the business from Roy. Steve, Glen and I investigated our options and, quite frankly, Fix Auto UK’s ambitions, drive and commitment to deliver unprecedented levels of service and adopt industry-leading working practices were the same as our own.”

Commenting on the latest appointment, Fix Auto UK’s Managing Director Ian Pugh, said: “Welcoming another franchise to the network is always a delight, but the signing of Fix Auto Hainault is particularly significant as it further strengthens our position and ability to provide a solution to insurers and motorists in the London area.

"The inner-M25 has proved historically tricky to operate within because of the increased logistical, operational and financial issues compared with the rest of the UK, and we firmly believe that with eight individually-owned Fix Auto bodyshops in the region and others just on the outskirts, we offer a genuine, credible network solution to our insurer partners in the area.”
