Andy Williamson, chief financial officer of Mercedes-Benz UK is set to leave the UK to become director of parent group Daimler's Shared Services International and head of the Daimler Group Services Madrid.
Williamson joined the UK business in 2006 with a breadth of experience following other previous international roles in Daimler.
Marcus Breitschwerdt, president and chief executive of Mercedes-Benz UK said: “Andy has made a significant contribution to our business, being a key member of our executive board as we’ve made changes to the way we do business that we can now see reflected in our record-breaking start to 2013.
"Andy’s knowledge and experience make him ideal for his new role and I’m delighted that he will be continuing his career within the wider global Daimler family.”
A successor will be announced in due course.
As editor, Tim is responsible for the media content, planning and production of AM's multiple channels (AM print and digital magazines, website, social media and contributing to our events planning). He interviews and writes about as many franchised dealer groups and UK divisions of motor manufacturers as possible, to explore the issues facing UK motor retail and understand what solutions dealers and suppliers are using to overcome these.
