Barking & Dagenham College, supported by the Skills Funding Agency, is offering 30 free places on its new AutoRaise collision repair apprenticeship programme.

Designed to deliver practical and theoretical training in mechanical, electrical, trim, panel and paint, the free places are open to applicants aged 23 or younger.

Taking under two years to complete, successful students will gain the new IMI-accredited Diploma in Multi-Skilled Vehicle Collision Repair and three Automotive Technician Accreditations (ATAs).

John Thatcher, project manager at Barking & Dagenham College, said: “It is more important than ever to have a workforce that can handle any aspect of repairs and this new qualification will see apprentices leave with all the skills they need.

“We encourage all employers to speak to us about the benefits that this programme can bring both their employees and their business.

“We would also advise anyone interested to get in touch quickly to make sure they don’t miss out on our launch offer.”
