Peter Vardy has lodged a planning application for a new-built Jaguar and Land Rover dealership in Aberdeen.
It hopes to demolish a workshop and showroom in Wellington Road used by hand-made bed and mattress firm Glencraft, which sold the site to Peter Vardy earlier this year.
Glencraft, a social enterprise for craftspeople with a variety of abilities and disabilities, will move to a new site near Lang Stracht which is currently home to Peter Vardy Vauxhall, reports Aberdeen's Evening Express.
The new showroom, conforming to Jaguar Land Rover's 'arch' retail concept, is hoped to be opened by the end of 2015.
