Skoda has hinted at the future design direction of its new models with the unveiling of its VisionC.

The Czech brand has focussed its brand values on practicality, but the new model shows how the brand will be becoming ‘more expressive, dynamic and emotional’.

The new concept has been built on VW Group’s MQB platform, which it shares with the Octavia.

Prof. Dr. h.c. Windried Vahland, Skoda chief executive, said: “We are signalling the next stage in the evolution of Škoda's design language VisionC’, and thus highlighting the dawn of the brand.”

While the VisionC acts as a design study, it’s possible a production version could make it to the UK in the future as Skoda has indicated that it would like a flagship coupe model to act as a halo for the brand within the next two years.
