Planners have backed proposals for new-build BMW and Mini showrooms at Cardinal Point, Tamworth.
Both planning applications, submitted separately, were for two storey dealerships, with the BMW one including 19 service bays and rooftop parking.
Planners were told the businesses would create 115 jobs in total.
The vacant site neighbours a retail park home to brands such as B&Q and Next.
Currently the nearest BMW and Mini dealership to Tamworth is Sytner's at Sutton Coldfield, some 11 miles away.

So glad that Tamworth will get a BMW garage, lets hope the new garage does better than the Sutton Coldfield branch of Sytner that carried out a repair on mine when they overlooked a major repair problem, hope they employ better staff in the workshop.
