An historic car dealership in Grays has re-opened today, thanks to a £250,000 investment by Brayleys Cars.

Following a major refurbishment, Brayley Mazda has opened its doors to its new-look showroom on Orsett Road, a site that has traded cars since 1898.

Paul Brayley (pictured left), managing director of Brayleys Cars, said: “It’s humbling to think that one family owned this business for over a hundred years so I consider it a privilege to maintain a long tradition of good customer service.

"Orsett Road isn’t just another dealership, it really is a piece of history and a long-standing part of the local community and we look forward to keeping this going.”

Jeremy Thomson (right), Mazda UK managing director, said: “Now is the perfect time to welcome Brayleys’ third Mazda dealership to the network following their success in Harpenden and Milton Keynes.

This year Brayley Mazda’s customers will see the launch of our all-new supermini, the Mazda2, plus the mid-year launch of the all-new Mazda CX-3 crossover SUV - a completely new segment for Mazda - and the all-new Mazda MX-5 arriving later in the year.

With more than five product launches scheduled for 2015, Brayley Mazda is on the lookout for extra sales staff to join the company’s expanding team, as Jason Sayers, the dealership’s sales manager, explained: “There’s a great opportunity for at least two dynamic sales people to join our team in Grays, as we expect a very busy year. We have a terrific line up of cars which we are looking forward to showcasing to the local community.”
