The UK’s first Automechanika exhibition, showcasing aftermarket suppliers such as TRW and Unipart, is set to become the organisers’ largest debut show outside of Frankfurt.
Held with the support of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), Automechanika Birmingham will take place on June 7-9 at the NEC.
The new UK exhibition reflects the huge success generated by the original Automechanika event at the Frankfurt Messe, which has now expanded into events at 15 international locations, making it the most successful OEM and aftermarket supplier show series globally.
Simon Albert, event director, Automechanika Birmingham, said: “The response to the launch proves the need for an automotive event of this type in the UK. It is destined to become the key home for both supply chain and aftermarket companies and visitors which no other event has been able to offer”.
The SMMT will hold its own Meet the Buyer and Open Forum sessions at the show.
