Nissan is stocking dealerships with an array of pre-painted bumpers as part of a programme to boost repair efficiency for customers involved in minor collisions.

The Painted Bumper Programme follows on from the 2012 launch of a Painted Mirror Caps Programme and will see 28 colours of bumpers available in dealerships for current Nissan Juke, Qashqai and Note, as well as all predecessor versions of the three cars.

Vincent Wijnen, vice president for aftersales, Nissan Europe, said: “The Painted Bumper Programme is the perfect illustration of Nissan’s core values – exceptional quality and outstanding customer service. It will bring benefits to both Nissan owners and retailers.”

Nissan has said that the scheme will reduce the amount of time vehicles will require in dealership body shops and get customers back on the road more quickly.

It will also maintain cars in showroom condition, potentially boosting future values.
