Warrantywise.co.uk has revealed the top 10 largest repair bills ranging from between £5,009 and £8,928 in 2018 based on information from its own warranty claims data.

As would be expected to top out the list, a premium supercar brand, Lamborghini, saw the most expensive repair with a bill of £8,928 on an Aventador for a cooling fan motor repair.

The top 10 pay outs covered major gearbox, engine and cooling fan repairs.

The second and third largest pay outs for 2018 were for a Porsche 911 Carrera 2 and an Audi A1 engine, with repair figures of £8,709 and £6,254 respectively.

Lawrence Whittaker, Warrantywise chief executive, said: “If your car goes wrong, the chances are you’ll be met with an expensive repair bill, and it’s not just supercars that are expensive to repair, but as our top paid repairs show the likes of Nissan, Mercedes and Skoda can also encounter expensive repair bills.
