Automotive aftersales finance provider Bumper has appointed a new head of product and head of payments as part of its expansion plans.

Leyla Lesniarek-Hamid joined Bumper as head of product in March, having worked for fintech scale up businesses, including Zego and Salary Finance.

The foundation of Lesniarek-Hamid's career was built in management consulting at EY, where her interest in problem-solving and technology's ability to do this were honed.

Bumper said Lesniarek-Hamid will lead the company's product discovery and development, "collaborating with key stakeholders across the business to design and build products".

Chris Masters has joined Bumper as head of payments having worked in the automotive sector for 15 years for digital and fintech organisations such as iVendi and Motors.co.uk.

Masters moved into the payments technology sector working with open banking provider Vyne as director of partners a few years ago.

He will lead the PayNow function of the business in both card payments, Pay by Bank and PDQ terminals.

James Jackson, CEO and Co-founder of Bumper has said: "We are delighted to have these two new extremely talented team members on board as we work to build on our digital payment experience for both dealerships and customers.”
