Volvo dealers across the UK will simultaneously launch the new XC40 on February 22.

Thousands of guests are expected to attend the events which take place at 96 Volvo retailers, with one lucky attendee winning a new car on the night.

The event will be the first time customers have seen the award-winning new XC40 in showrooms.

Attendees will be entered into a nationwide prize draw to win a new Volvo XC40. The winner will be announced on the evening and will be one of the first people in the UK to take delivery of the brand-new model.

One guest at each retailer event will also win a Harman Kardon home music system as the audio specialist provides the range-topping sound system for the Volvo XC40.

Jon Wakefield, Volvo Car UK’s managing director, said: “The XC40 is a momentous vehicle for Volvo and we wanted to deliver a co-ordinated and focused launch event throughout the retailer network. The event is the first chance for customers to see the car, and the fact one guest will be the proud winner of a new XC40 that night adds to the excitement.

“We are confident the network-wide event will attract both loyal customers and those new to the brand, and will be an amazing kick-start to 2018 for our retailers.”

The XC40 is Volvo’s first ever premium compact SUV. With prices starting at £27,905, the new XC40 features much of the advanced connectivity, entertainment and safety technology found on Volvo’s larger XC60, S90, V90 and XC90 models.

Volvo was named Manufacturer of the Year at the AM Awards last week.
