Audi’s franchised car retailers will be facilitating the German premium brand’s new Audi On Demand daily rental solution – with cars available to customers from £70 per day.

Customers can collect their vehicle of choice from the AM100 retail group’s Oldham Audi Centre or take advantage of the offer of delivery to their door – within a 30-minute radius – as part of the new service currently under trial.

A maximum loan of 28 days is facilitated by Audi On Demand, with a single payment covering use of a full range of vehicle options, including the A1 and A3 hatchbacks, A4 saloon, A5 coupe and Q3 and Q5 SUVs.

Prices range from £70 to £190 per day and include a full service package with unlimited mileage, fully comprehensive insurance, concierge delivery and Audi Roadside Assistance, Audi said in a stamteent.

Plans are already underway to expand the Audi On Demand offering into the wider Audi Centre franchised car dealership network, with Lookers Group’s Edinburgh and Glasgow dealerships set to deliver the service from this month.

Audi’s statement said: “These will be followed by Newcastle (Lookers) and Birmingham (Jardine) in September.

“The roll-out will continue throughout 2018 with plans underway to expand to further cities including London, with a view to establishing a nationwide network in the longer term.”

Audi said that the On Demand service was the umbrella term for the new wave of mobility services to be launched in the UK.

The service will expand and develop to offer a series of mobility products based around the same mantra of “customer flexibility and convenience”, it said.

Andrew Doyle, director of Audi UK, said: "Audi on demand is the premium mobility service with a difference.

“It neatly packages convenience, flexibility and ease of use into every booking and enables our customers to tap into a bespoke experience that is fitting of the Audi brand and maintains the exceptionally high levels of service that we are committed to from start to finish.

"The traditional model of ownership is consistently evolving and this innovative concept firmly puts Audi UK ahead when it comes to meeting consumer demand and transforming into a digital premium car company."

To take advantage of the Audi On Demand service, customers must register online at www.uk.audiondemand.com before selecting their preferred loan dates and choosing their desired vehicle.

Cars can be collected from the chosen Audi Centre on presentation of a QR code generated at the time of booking, along with photo ID and a valid driving licence.

Alternatively, customers can request delivery to, and collection from, any location within a 30-minute driving radius of the Audi Centre.

Audi has already trialled the system in the US, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and Germany.
