Cupra has officially opened a UK City Garage in Manchester, bringing its urban showroom concept to the United Kingdom for the first time.
The new space, located in St Ann’s Square - a historic conservation area in the city centre – covers two-floors and aims to become a creative and communal hub - what the brand calls a meeting point for the “UK tribe.”
Visitors can explore the latest Cupra models while also engaging in exclusive events, wellness sessions, and curated experiences under the brand’s "Counter Culture" programming.
“Cupra continues to gain strong momentum in the UK, our third-largest global market,” said Sven Schuwirth, executive vice-president of sales, marketing and aftersales.
“Opening a Cupra City Garage in Manchester marks a significant milestone in our globalisation strategy - a place where our UK Tribe can connect, experience the brand, and be part of our journey. It signals the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Cupra in one of our most strategically important markets.”
The City Garage concept is central to Cupra’s global brand strategy. With existing locations in cities such as Milan, Mexico City, Istanbul and Sydney, Manchester becomes the 12th city to join the network.
The opening comes during a period of record growth for Cupra in the UK. Between January and March 2025, the brand registered more than 10,000 new vehicles in the country, marking a 44% increase compared to the first quarter of 2024.
These figures contribute to a global total of 78,000 units delivered during the same period - Cupra’s strongest Q1 performance to date.
