Pendragon’s Stratstone premium manufacturer division has opened its relocated BMW and Mini Leeds showrooms.

The Gelderd Road site opens following a year’s development and a “significant investment” from the dealer group to upgrade facilities.

The new location offers more square feet, a larger customer area and an increased number of parking spaces for visitors.

The existing 85 BMW and 35 Mini team members will be moving to the new location, with additional recruitment set to follow.

The business is planning launch events for the new BMW 7 Series and  BMW X1 on the weekend of October 24. The Mini site will hold a launch event for the new Clubman on October 31.

Trevor Fussey, national franchise director for Stratstone, said the new location allows the business to showcase a wider selection of new and used cars.

Both dealerships are open 8am-7pm Monday to Friday, 8am-6pm Saturday and 10am-4pm Sunday.

Pendragon launched the UK's first automotive 'click and collect' service earlier this year and reported a 36% jump in underlying profits in 2014.
