Endeavour Automotive has boosted its network portfolio with the addition of two more Hyundai dealerships after acquiring Haddocks Hyundai in a share capital deal for an undiclosed sum.

The Haddocks dealerships are in Colchester and Frinton-on-Sea and it takes Endeavour to four sites with the South Korean franchise. The acquisition takes the total group to 10 dealerships with the six Volvo businesses.

John Caney, Endeavour Automotive managing director, (pictured) said: “I am delighted to have strengthened our relationship and geographical spread with Hyundai UK.

“The Haddocks business is a fantastic opportunity with a great territory, loyal team of staff and produces a positive set of results.

“The business is a testament to the previous operators, Kevin and Sue Haddock. This is a great fit for the group and expands our reach beyond our existing territory.  I look forward to welcoming the team into the wider group and building on the huge success already achieved.”

Endeavour Automotive was launched by Caney in 2012, after he had sold his previous AM100 dealer group, Wayside, to Jardine Motors Group in 2011.

The group recently appointed former Jardine Motors Group executive Stuart Coleman as its group operations director.
