Alpha Cars celebrates 26% increase in turnover thanks to new investment

Independent used car dealer Alpha Cars is celebrating a 26% increase in turnover thanks to new investment from Santander Corporate and Commercial.

Run by father and daughter team Martin and Simone Ward received flexible working capital facilities which allowed improvements to be carried out to their premises in Catterick Garrison, including increased stock and the construction of a new valet bay.

The company has also been able to employ a further four members of staff to deal to help deal with a resulting increase in business which saw turnover increase to £1 million with the sale of an additional 47 vehicles in 2015.

Martin Ward, Director of Alpha Cars (North Yorkshire) Ltd said:  “Our success is due to our reputation for exceptional customer service, being a trusted company and being a provider of a wide range of services and products for our customers.

“We have seen an increase in turnover by 26% since receiving the support form Santander which has meant that we can continue to grow and provide great service.  It has been a very exciting time for us and we are very optimistic about the future.”

Robbie Peacock, Relationship Director for Santander Corporate and Commercial, said:  “Alpha Cars is an excellent example of a truly independent, family run business which prides itself on providing high end services to its customers.

“It has been rewarded for that ethos with customers returning again and again, leading to both an increase in sales and a need to hire additional staff.  We look forward to seeing what the next twelve months hold in store for Martin and Simone.”
