Stoneacre enters luxury market with plan to open Aston Martin dealership in Newcastle

New bonds: Aston Martin is forging new partnerships as it expands its UK dealer network

Aston Martin is set to expand its presence into the North East with the opening of a purpose-built Newcastle showroom.

Located on the Silverlink, which is accessible from the A19 and A1, the new facility will open on March 24 and is the first Aston Martin dealership for Stoneacre, which has 35 dealerships across the UK.

Until now, Stoneacre's franchised dealerships have focused on mainstream and volume brands with its only premium operations being Lotus, in Durham, and Volvo, in Lincoln and Grimsby.

Aston Martin Newcastle will operate from a 1,950 square metre facility which includes a 14-car showroom offering the full range of Aston Martin sports cars and a separate “Q” lounge where discerning customers can tailor their new car to the exact specification of their choosing.

Shaun Foweather, managing director of Stoneacre, the trading brand of Decidebloom Ltd, said: “We are delighted to be working alongside Aston Martin, a marque with such a prestigious automotive history.

“The opening of our new facility, which will provide an extensive range of new and “Timeless” pre-owned models, dedicated “Q by Aston Martin” lounge and state-of-the-art aftersales facilities, marks an important point in the company’s history.

“We look forward to welcoming new and existing Aston Martin owners.”

Marcus Blake, Aston Martin’s general manager, UK and South Africa, said: “2016 is going to be an exciting year for Aston Martin and we are delighted to be working alongside Decidebloom Limited, in opening an outstanding purpose-built facility in Newcastle this March.

“We are confident the passionate and dedicated Aston Martin Newcastle team will draw upon their extensive experience within the automotive industry and knowledge of the Aston Martin brand to provide our valued customers in Newcastle an exceptional service which exceeds their expectation.”

The Newcastle dealership is the latest expansion of the Aston Martin network to see the brand adopt a new partner.

Earlier this month Dick Lovett announced that it was developing a state-of-the-art Aston Martin showroom at Cribbs Causeway, Bristol.

That 27,000 sq ft facility is set to open this summer, creating around 20 new jobs.
