Lookers appoints Andrew Stephenson in new HR role

Lookers has appointed Andrew Stephenson as group human resources and customer director.

Reporting directly to chief executive Andy Bruce, the appointment marks the first strategic level leader of HR and customer experience at Lookers, the AM100 group said. 

Stephenson (pictured) will be responsible for talent acquisition and resource management in order to “efficiently deliver an outstanding customer experience”.

His role will include the development of an employee programme, encompassing recruitment, remuneration and engagement.

Stephenson joins Lookers from DFS Furniture Group, where he most recently held the role of group HR and property director.

He has previously held positions at Vodafone, B&Q and Virgin Media.

Stephenson is a chartered fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and is a fellow of the Institute of the Motor Industry.

Bruce said: "Andrew's appointment is a major development for Lookers and we are delighted to welcome him to the business.
