Evans Halshaw Ford Hull is set to open as a FordStore site next week, following a “huge investment” designed to enhance customer experience.

The dealership in Priory Park will hold its grand opening on Wednesday, offering a technological insight into the future of Ford by officially becoming a Ford Store.

The Hull team will be joined by Andy Barratt, chairman and managing director of Ford and Stuart Foulds, Evans Halshaw national franchise director, who will officially open the dealership.

After undergoing an investment of £350,000 since late 2014, the new design will give customers a first glimpse into the future of Ford, with particular focus on the technological advances made by the car manufacturer.

As a FordStore, the dealership will offer a new experience for customers, with Ford Store exclusive offerings such as the premium Mustang, Edge, Vignale, RS/ST ranges along with the range of Ford models.

Designated areas for specific services will include the ‘discover’ zone, where customers can browse tablet devices, brochures and samples, plus configure a Ford model in actual size on a 3D video wall.

These concept stores are also working towards offering customers the entire range of Ford services, including the Transit Centre, Ford Credit and Business Centre and Ford approved used, all under one roof.

The recent expansion has also created 25 new jobs in the area over two years, having taken on new team members including eight apprentices, in order to manage the expected demand from customers.

Steven Spicer, dealer principal at Evans Halshaw Ford Hull, said: “We are pleased to be able to offer continuous and secure employment to many team members from the local community, some of whom have been with us for well over 40 years, as well as welcome new members to the team. We are always looking to expand our site and team further.”
