Pedal pushing customers of Clive Brook Volvo swapped four wheels for two to ride out with the Maddison Genesis professional cycling team.

The dealer group with retail sites in Bradford and Huddersfield invited 24 customers of its own 40-mile Tour de Yorkshire with pro riders from British UCI Continental cycling team as part of a partnership which sees them use Volvo cars as part of their equipment.

Skipton Road’s Ilkley Cycles’ Fuel Station Cafe played host to the team and guests before they all mounted their bikes and headed off, through the picturesque countryside of Bolton Abbey.

Stopping for some well-earned coffee and cake at The Cavendish Pavilion, the group made then made the six-mile journey back to Ilkley for lunch at local tapas restaurant, La Casita.

Clive Brook Ltd managing director, Clive Brook, said: “I was delighted that we were, again, able to host this amazing event with some of our customers and offer them a truly special day.

“We have so many loyal customers at the dealership that are extremely keen cyclists and were thrilled to be given to opportunity to race some of Britain’s best cycling talent.

“Thanks to Volvo’s ties with Madison Genesis, this is the third year we have been able to run a ride out event with the cycling team.

“We always jump at the chance to be able to offer our customers the opportunity to join us on special events like this and it always results in outstanding feedback every time.”

Volvo Cars UK currently sponsors Madison Genesis and supplies the team with top-of-the-range XC70s.
