Jaguar Land Rover is to boost its London sales operation with seven new or upgraded retail facilities.

They will be in addition to the three existing ‘Arch’ corporate identity sites in West London, Stratford and Battersea.

Among the new retailers is a development at Sunbury-on-Thames which will be a ‘global statement site’ for the UK, boasting 17,000sq/m of floor space.

Operated by Sytner Group Ltd, the new Jaguar Land Rover site will be based just off the M3 motorway into London, said to be seen by around 72,000 drivers every day.

Construction on the site is set to begin in August and be completed at the end of 2019. It will include special vehicle operations and Jaguar Land Rover Classic divisions.

Joining the Sunbury-on-Thames retail location is another to be based at Staples Corner, at the interchange between the North Circular and Edgware Road flyover.

Operated by Spire Automotive (owned by Group 1 Automotive), the building provides over 8,000 square-metres of accommodation arranged around a central atrium to draw customers up through the showroom.

Work on the new Staples Corner showroom will begin in April, and will be completed by October 2018.

By the end of 2019 Jaguar Land Rover will have 10 new or upgraded retailers in London, along with four supporting authorised repairers.

Jaguar Land Rover UK managing director Jeremy Hicks said: “The Jaguar Land Rover business has seen huge sales growth and significant development of its model range in recent years, and our retail partners are evolving the sales network to reflect that.

"These new London sites not only make it more convenient for our customers in the capital but they also provide a significant boost to our visibility, with cutting-edge design and an ideal showcase for our vehicles.”
