Newton Honda will highlight its place a as a key player in Croydon’s local economy when it hosts a debate led by the town’s Chamber of Commerce.

The retailer, on Brighton Road, will welcome more than 60 members of the Croydon Chamber of Commerce to its showroom on April 26 to discuss key issues regarding the local community and economy.

Russell Holt, corporate sales and leasing at Newton Honda, said: “The Croydon Chamber of Commerce plays a pivotal role in the community’s economy, helping to support businesses across Croydon.

“We always try to get as involved as possible with the local community, and have the opportunity to meet with other local businesses. We look forward to welcoming everyone on 26 April.”

A representative from Honda UK will also be in attendance to provide a presentation about Honda’s continued success in UK car production and give an overview of both current and future vehicle models, with the Clarity fuel cell vehicle on display during the event.

The Clarity is the first production saloon to house the entire fuel cell powertrain under the bonnet and will go on general sale in 2022.

Additionally, members will be offered a tour of the Newton Honda site, including the showroom, vehicles, service workshop and cleaning bay to give them a clearer understanding of how the business operates.

Guests will also be encouraged to familiarise themselves with Honda’s wider product range, book in for free test drives for any vehicles and learn more about Newton’s range of servicing and MOT offerings, which cater for all makes of cars on site with free delivery and collection included.
