Finance veteran David Gillard has joined the board of AM100 car dealer group Vertu Motors as an independent non-executive director (NED).

Gillard will sit as a member of Vertu's audit committee, nominations committee and remuneration committee.

Andy Goss, chairman of Vertu, said: "We are extremely pleased to welcome David to the Vertu board.  He will further add to the group's significant financial expertise as his experience across a number of sectors and functions have given him a strong grounding across various aspects of financial governance.  I very much look forward to working with him."

During his executive career Gillard gained experience in publishing (Oxford University Press), FMCG/alcoholic beverages (Diageo, Guinness, Hӓagen-Dazs, McVitie’s), and infrastructure (BAA), both in the UK and overseas, and until 2021 he was group finance director for international law firm DAC Beechcroft.

He is also currently a NED and the chair of audit committee at Bradford and Sons Limited, a builders' merchant.

"I am delighted to be joining the Board at Vertu, with its impressive range and depth of experience, at this exciting time for the Group and the sector in which it operates," Gillard said.
