Car dealer Progress has been included in the London Stock Exchange’s latest report of 1,000 companies to inspire Britain.

Launched in 2013, the annual report celebrates companies that serve as a driving force behind the UK economy.

This year’s edition identifies the UK’s fastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium-sized businesses. Companies included had to demonstrate consistent revenue growth for at least three years and significantly outperform their industry peers.

Managing director of Progress, which has dealerships in Bedford, Northampton, Letchworth and Kettering, Terence Byrne, said: “We’re delighted to be identified as one of the 1,000 companies to inspire Britain for 2015.

"As a young and fast growing family-run business that started trading in 2006, we’ve always made it our mission to seize business opportunities when they arise and provide the very best in customer service. We have fantastic positive staff behind us.

“We’re an energized and highly motivated team that has enjoyed a very supportive relationship with our manufacturers, the next stage of Progress is especially exciting with all of our businesses undergoing significant investment to expand our showrooms and further improve our facilities enabling us to serve our customers even better long into the future.”

Chief executive of the London Stock Exchange Group Xavier Rolet said: “This report is a significant part of London Stock Exchange’s broader campaign to support UK companies and to create an entrepreneurship revolution.

“I’m delighted that a strong alliance between UK Government, financial market participants, investors, entrepreneurs and companies has been created to support these inspiring businesses.”
