Kia has announced the full UK pricing and specifications for its latest all-electric model, the EV4 hatchback.

The C-segment hatchback is the brand’s first of its kind and offers the longest range of any Kia EV to date, offering up to 388 miles on a single charge.

Prices start from £34,695, with order books now open and first deliveries expected in the autumn.

Built on the car maker’s Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) and developed for European roads and drivers, the EV4 is produced in Slovakia to ensure swift deliveries.

Mirroring Kia’s other EVs, the EV4 will be available in three trims: Air, GT-Line and GT-Line S.

Buyers can choose from two battery options in the entry-level ‘Air’ model - a 58.3kWh version capable of up to 273 miles, or an 81.4kWh long-range pack with a 388-mile range. Mid-level ‘GT-Line’ and range-topping ‘GT-Line S’ trims come exclusively with the larger battery, offering up to 362 miles between charges.

All variants use a single front-mounted electric motor producing 201bhp and 283Nm of torque, delivering 0–62mph in 7.5 seconds and a top speed of 105mph.

The EV4 supports 400V tech for 10-80% top-ups in as little as 29 minutes on a 350kW DC charger. On an 11kW AC home charger, a full charge takes between 5 hours 20 minutes and 7 hours 15 minutes, depending on battery size.

In-car tech includes twin 12.3-inch displays, a 5.3-inch climate screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the brand’s new ccNC infotainment platform.

A new AI-powered voice assistant built on ChatGPT lets drivers ask questions, control settings, plan journeys, or play games.

GT-Line S models also offer front seats that recline almost flat for use while parked or charging.
