The 2022 Ben Ball succeeded in raising over £120,000 in funds to help support members of the automotive industry - with over 600 guests attending.

The annual flagship event, held on December 7, moved across London to Old Billingsgate Market, on the north bank of the Thames, and exceeded last year's fund-raising total with the help of a series of auction lots.

Ben also shared the latest update with guests on the Industry Leader Challenge - The Climb - which saw a team of 15 industry leaders scale Kilimanjaro, tackling heat, extreme cold and altitude to raise vital funds.

The event also gave an insight into the increase in demand that Ben is experiencing, as more people are reaching out for help with their finances due to the cost-of-living crisis.

Matt Wigginton, director of partnerships, engagement and income at Ben, said: “I’m blown away by the support we’ve received at this year’s Ben Ball. It really is tough times out there for everyone at the moment, so this means the world to us and those we support.

“All funds raised will go to supporting those in the industry who are struggling right now - and people really are struggling. This support is life-changing and lifesaving. People are having to make an impossible choice between eating or heating this winter and that’s a choice no-one should have to make.

“It was also fantastic to celebrate the year together and show the automotive community we care and that, together, we’re committed to helping people get through their darkest days. That no-one in our automotive family has to struggle alone - Ben is here.

“Thank you to everyone who joined us at Ben Ball, you made the night truly special.  We are incredibly grateful for your generosity on the night - we couldn’t do what we do without you. Thank you.”

A heart-wrenching story about a member of the automotive community called Clive, who has cancer, was also shared with guests.
