Hyundai has updated its Ioniq range with revised pricing and a bigger battery for the electric vehicle (EV) version.

Prices for the revised Korean hatchback start at £22,795 for the Hybrid and £29,895 for the Plug-in Hybrid.

The Ioniq Electric costs £32,895 (including grant). It has a bigger battery, which increases in size from 28kWh to 38.3kWh, and a more powerful motor rising from 88kW to 100kW. The WLTP range for the Ioniq Electric is now 184 miles.

New Ioniq models receive refreshed exterior designs including redesigned grilles. All models have new front and rear bumpers, headlamps and tail lamps, while interior changes to include a comprehensive redesign of the dashboard with upgraded materials and finishes, updated instrument cluster, cabin mood lighting and all new touch type temperature and multimedia controls.

A new 10.25-inch widescreen navigation system is available on all Premium and Premium SE models across the range and on the limited 1st Edition Hybrid model.

It features Bluelink telematics, a smartphone app-based connected car service that enables remote services such as remote start, climate control adjustment and GPS locator.

The electrified 1.6 GDi powertrains for Ioniq Hybrid and Ioniq Plug-in Hybrid are carried over from the previous models, both vehicles now benefit from driver controlled regenerative braking, adding additional control and furthering zero emission driving capability.

The Hybrid emits from 84g/km of CO2 and can achieve up to 78mpg.

Plug-in Hybrid versions emits 26g/km of CO2 and have an electric-only range of 39 miles.

Ioniq Hybrid is available in SE Connect, Premium, Premium SE and 1st Edition trims.

The Plug-in Hybrid and Electric are only available in Premium and Premium SE guises.

The updated Ioniq range will be available in dealerships from Septmber 5.
