Fisker, the US-based electric car firm, has announced that Octopus EV is to be the first lease provider to offer its Fisker Ocean electric SUV in the UK.

An initial deal for 200 vehicles marks the start of a long-term partnership, said Fisker, whose only physical presence in the UK currently is the Fisker Lounge at London's Westfield White City shopping centre.

Octopus EV will allow businesses to offer the Fisker Ocean Extreme, capable of up to 440 miles inWLTP range tests, through salary sacrifice – an employee benefit that saves drivers up to 40% off the monthly cost – making this one of the most affordable ways to access the car.

Fisker recently announced lowered pricing for the top-level Fisker Ocean Extreme worldwide – in UK market from £60,880 to £57,900 – offering price adjustments to existing Extreme customers. The Fisker Ocean Extreme has a WLTP range of up to 440 miles, which is the longest range of any new electric SUV in its class sold in European markets today.

Chairman and chief executive Henrik Fisker (pictured) said: “Besides the new pricing, we are also excited to announce this lease collaboration in the UK market to enable more customers to have access to our fully electric Ocean.

"I am looking forward to seeing more and more UK customers using the leasing opportunity to experience the Ocean’s unique design – featuring sustainable materials, best-in-class range and innovative technical features such as SolarSky, California Mode, and a large touchscreen that can also be enjoyed in horizontal Hollywood Mode.”

Fisker's distribution model includes online sales and owned 'fulfillment locations'. Deliveries of its first cars globally began in May 2023.

Launched in the US in 2021, the Fisker Ocean SUV is due to be joined by new models including the lower priced Fisker Pear hatchback, the Fisker Ronin convertible sports car, and the Fisker Alaska pick-up truck.
